The 2011 Essence Music Festival was a time for fun and pampering at the Proctor & Gamble My Black is BeautifulBronze Goddess Spa. A host of special beauty treatments were offered to festival attendees, such as complimentary makeovers by Cover Girl, Crest Pro-Health teeth screenings, Olay “Skin Is In” Studio mini massages and skin consultations, and Pantene “Hairmony” Salon dry styles and healthy hair consultations.
Many celebrity appearances were made at this year’s MBIB booth, beginning with a special-featured, live makeup demonstration by celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine. Fine also held a question-and-answer discussion for his audience to address whatever makeup or beauty woes they wanted answered by the beauty expert himself.
When asked why Fine decided to be a part of the Bronze Goddess Spa this year, he responded, “The MBIB Bronze Goddess Spa is always so inviting. I mean, you cannot find another booth that houses Crest, Olay, Cover Girl Queen Collection and Pantene. It’s a wonderful family and, having worked with Cover Girl for as many years as I have, I just feel right at home.”
Fine also talked about the importance of his consistent personal interaction with his fans. “It invites these sisters in so I can really help them to put their best face forward. For the women who don’t know what to do with foundation or haven’t had very good experiences with things, they really needed healing. So, I’m very happy to be a part of Cover Girl Queen Collection and for them to bring me out. It’s the best way to really change our perception on what makeup is today.”
